iRegatta + DMK Box

iRegatta is popular sailing software for iOS that can use 0183 UDP data through a DMK Box.

This provides you with portable access to info as shown in the iRegatta screen shots below.

Setting up iRegatta + DMK Box

The first step is to complete the inital DMK Box installation.

Confirm that your DMK App shows that you are connected to the DMK Box (i.e. packets are arriving under Log View).

Open iOS Settings

Launch the iOS Settings app.

Find iRegatta Settings

Tap the iRegatta settings row under the Apps heading.

Wi-Fi Connection Info

Then scroll down in the iRegatta settings until you reach the WiFi NMEA heading.

Set the entries in that section as follows:

  • Use NMEA info instead of iOS GPS: On
  • TCP/UDP: UDP
  • NMEA IP Address: 192.168.1.2
  • NMEA Port No.: 1703
Verify iRegatta Connection

Now you are ready to launch iRegatta to confirm that it is receiving data from your DMK Box.

If iRegatta is receiving NMEA 0183 data, you will find the status indicator is blue or green.

That indicates that data is arriving from your DMK Box at a regular interval.

That's It!
